Terrell Owens, 41, offers to help struggling Eagles offense image

Terrell Owens may be 41, but the former wide receiver thinks he could suit up and help the 1-3 Eagles and their 25th-ranked offense.

"Absolutely, yes," Owens told WIP-FM's "Mike & Ike Show. "No question, no question about that."

Owens isn't concerned about the fact that he has been out of the league for five years. He says his character and tenacity would still put him in the ranks of the receivers in their 20s.

"I definitely could be playing right now, but based on my character, yeah," he said. "People can say, 'Oh he's 41.' But I'm not your average 41-year-old and Ike, you can attest to that," Owens said. "When I was on that football field, I felt like I was the best thing out there, and it was due to how hungry I was and how dedicated I was."

This isn't the first time Owens has hinted at wanting to play football again. He asked his agent to reach out to the Cowboys for another chance to play back in September.

Owens, who was on the Eagles from 2004-06 and the Cowboys from 2006-09, is currently a 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame nominee. If he was to be picked up by the Eagles, he wouldn't be Hall of Fame eligible until 2021.
