After practice on Sunday, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Mason Kinsey met with the media and was rocking a shirt that will no doubt bring back a bad memory for fans.
Kinsey, who is entering his fifth season in the NFL after being an undrafted free-agent signing of the Titans back in 2020, was sporting a Super Bowl XXXIV shirt during his media availability.
We don't need to remind Titans fans why that shirt doesn't illicit a positive memory. Kinsey went on to explain why he was wearing it and admitted it probably wasn't a great idea considering Tennessee didn't win the game.
"I've probably had (the shirt) for about two years," Kinsey said, per Jim Wyatt. "I do want to say I don't think the Titans won this Super Bowl? I was thinking about that when I walked out here with the shirt on, I was like, 'Ah, might not be a great look.'
"But a little throwback Titans shirt. I can't remember where I found it, I've had it for about two years now. I'll wear it here and there, but, hey, that's the ultimate goal, to get back here, so I'll wear it in the building when I can."

Of course, that was the Titans' only Super Bowl appearance, but it also resulted in a devastating loss at the hands of the St. Louis Rams, with Tennessee falling short of sending the game to overtime by one stinking yard.
The shirt not withstanding, Kinsey appears to be having a strong training camp, with the Berry College product getting a shoutout from Wyatt in one of his recent practice observations articles.
Hardly a day goes by when I don't notice Mason Kinsey for one reason or another. Kinsey is a scrappy receiver who gives relentless effort. If he irritates defensive backs in the process (one gave him a pretty good shove on Saturday), so be it. Kinsey got open with a beauty of a route in the 1-on-1s, and he also caught a pair of touchdowns from Rudolph in the period near the goal line. After one of the catches, he punted the ball high in the air in celebration. One thing is certain with Kinsey: He's going to show up competing every single day. It's why he's stuck around for so long.
While Kinsey's respect for the history of the Titans is certainly admirable, maybe he can find a new way to show it.
