The Tennessee Titans have greatly improved their wide receiver corps. in 2024 after a 2023 campaign in which they had one of the worst in the NFL.
DeAndre Hopkins is returning after serving as the clear-cut No. 1 option for Will Levis last season, but now he's joined by free-agent acquisitions Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, giving Tennessee one of the best trios in the league.
One thing those three have in common is they will all be at least 30 by the end of the year. Hopkins (32) is already there, and Ridley and Boyd will get there by December and November, respectively.
The expectation is that Hopkins, Ridley and Boyd will be the top-three receivers in terms of receiving yards for the Titans in 2024. If that happens, Tennessee will be the first team since the 2011 New England Patriots (Wes Welker, Deion Branch and Chad Ochocinco) to have three receivers who are 30 or older occupy the top-three spots in receiving yards, according to ESPN's Aaron Schatz.
Barring injury, the only real threat to prevent the Titans from accomplishing that feat is tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo, who should have the most significant role in the passing game outside of the three receivers.
Treylon Burks and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are unlikely to see enough snaps to break into the top three. And, while Tennessee has two talented pass-catchers at running back in Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, it's highly unlikely they'll be able to finish with the kind of yardage it's going to take to be among the team's receiving yards leaders, especially when you consider they're going to split work.
