The Tennessee Titans have lost one of their linebackers to a season-ending injury, the team revealed on Wednesday morning.
According to head coach Brian Callahan, linebacker Garret Wallow suffered a torn pectoral muscle and is out for the 2024 season. Wallow figured to be a long shot to make the roster, but he was listed as one of the top backups on the team's first unofficial depth chart.
With Wallow out of the mix, that improves the chances of everyone else at the position, including Chance Campbell, Otis Reese, Luke Gifford and rookie James Williams. Cedric Gray was already considered a lock after being a fourth-round pick.
A former fifth-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2021, Wallow spent two-plus years with the team before he was poached off the practice squad by the Titans in 2023.
Wallow appeared in three games for Tennessee last season, tallying six combined tackles in 48 defensive snaps. He also saw 48 snaps on special teams.
