With the Tennessee Titans having the day off from practice on Monday and slated to play their first preseason contest this week, the team has released its first unofficial depth chart of the 2024 offseason.
The Titans will host the reigning NFC champion San Francisco 49ers later this week on Saturday, Aug. 10, in Nashville, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.
When it comes to the first unofficial depth chart, you can never make too much out of it, but that doesn't mean it should be ignored completely. Sometimes it can give at least some insight into how position battles are going in training camp. That said, there is still a lot of time for things to change.
Without further ado, here's a look at the biggest takeaways from the first unofficial depth chart of 2024.

Listed starters at RG, RT
The Titans have Saahdiq Charles listed at right guard and Nicholas Petit-Frere at right tackle. Neither one is that surprising if you've been following things since the offseason program.
Charles, who was thought to be a backup upon signing, appeared to be getting the majority of reps at right guard during the offseason program, and NPF has long been considered the favorite at right tackle.
Last year's right guard, Daniel Brunskill, is listed as the backup center, while Radunz, who is competing at right guard, is behind Charles. John Ojukwu and Geron Christian are second in line at right and left tackle, respectively.
Co-starters at TE
To be honest, we didn't think there was any shot Josh Whyle would supplant Chig Okonkwo as the starter, at least to start the season. Clearly we need to re-think that because both players are listed as co-starters. Whyle has garnered a lot of attention this offseason and is making a run at TE1.
Co-starters at RB
The Titans weren't kidding when they said they considered Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears 1A/1B at the position, as they are listed as co-starters. Expect a timeshare for the most part, but we'd also expect Tennessee to ride the hot hand when one emerges.
Two rookies listed as expected
Sometimes teams will automatically bury rookies at the back end of the depth chart, but that is not the case for nose tackle T'Vondre Sweat and left tackle JC Latham, both of whom are listed as starters, which was expected.
Sweat in particular has stood out as of late, but Latham seems to be doing just fine.
The pecking order at LB
Jack Gibbens is not going away just because the Titans drafted Cedric Gray. Dr. Gibby is listed as a starter next to Kenneth Murray as he puts together a strong training camp. Gray is listed behind Gibbens and Chance Campbell.
Along with Campbell, Garret Wallow is also listed as a top backup. He sits behind Murray at the other linebacker spot. Offseason darling Otis Reese is behind Campbell.
Jarvis Brownlee a top backup
Brownlee has avoided the "bury the rookie at the back end of the depth chart" treatment and is listed as the top backup behind L'Jarius Sneed. The rookie has posted a strong showing at training camp thus far.
No Quandre Diggs yet
The Titans have yet to add recently signed Quandre Diggs to the depth chart. We imagine he'll supplant Jamal Adams, who is currently listed as a starter next to Amani Hooker.
Returners
As the Titans sort through their returner situation, Spears and wide receiver Mason Kinsey are listed as the kick and punt returners, respectively.
