The Las Vegas Raiders are set to take the next step in their preparation for the 2024 season and evaluation of the 53-man roster this week when they begin their preseason slate.
Las Vegas will open up the exhibition schedule on Saturday, Aug. 10, when they take on the Minnesota Vikings. From there, Las Vegas will have contests against the Dallas Cowboys in preseason Week 2, and the San Francisco 49ers in preseason Week 3, with both being home games.
With the first preseason game just days away, the Raiders have released their first unofficial depth chart. Take a look:

Of course, you never want to make too much out of the first unofficial depth chart, as a lot can change between now and then and things are hardly set in stone. But, that won't stop us from pointing out the most notable things from it.
Raiders unofficial depth chart takeaways
Co-starters at QB
No surprise here that the Raiders didn't tip their hand at quarterback. Quite frankly, the Raiders probably don't know who they're going to choose at this point, either, because of neither quarterback taking the reins of this competition.
Two starting TEs
The Raiders went with a 12-personnel setup, which is rare for teams to do, to say the least. This gives us another indication that the Raiders are going to utilize Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer together quite often this year.
Cody Whitehair at LG
Jackson Powers-Johnson remains on the PUP list and has not seen a practice rep at camp. In his absence, Cody Whitehair has gotten all of the first-team reps at left guard, but he hasn't exactly been impressive.
JPJ still garners the spot behind Whitehair, though, and is very much capable of still winning the job upon his return, which will hopefully be this week.
DJ Glaze a top backup
Glaze has been ascending lately, with the rookie getting first-team reps on multiple occasions at practice. And, by all accounts, he has made the most of his opportunities.
Glaze is listed as the backup behind Thayer Munford Jr. at right tackle, and while he may not end up with the job out of training camp, he'll be waiting in the wings if Munford struggles during the season.
John Jenkins over Adam Butler
Butler has been one of the bigger standouts at training camp in Jenkins' absence. Jenkins recently returned, so he'll have a shot to take back the momentum, but Butler is making a strong case he should start.
Jakorian Bennett a starter
No surprise here if you've been following along this offseason. Bennett has been the biggest standout of the CB2 competitors and looks poised to take a step forward in Year 2.
Fourth-round rookie Decamerion Richardson and veteran Brandon Facyson are the top backups listed at the boundary cornerback spots, and rookie M.J. Devonshire is listed behind Nate Hobbs in the slot.
