Super Bowl announcers 2024: Tony Romo, Jim Nantz lead CBS's Super Bowl 58 broadcast booth image

Somehow, the NFL continues to get bigger and better each year. This season is no exception.

CBS broadcasts have been a hit, averaging more viewers in the late national window than Fox. Of course, it's helped that the network has covered a handful of Chiefs games and can presumably thank a certain pop star for those numbers.

The network gets one last chance at breaking viewership records with Super Bowl 58. CBS will handle the Chiefs-49ers broadcast, a rematch of the 2020 Super Bowl, with its No. 1 crew.

Who is calling Super Bowl 58 for CBS?

This year's Super Bowl crew has one of the most experienced callers on the booth. Jim Nantz will do play-by-play, while Tony Romo will provide color commentary. It will be Nantz's seventh year calling the game, with his first coming in 2007. The duo even called another Super Bowl appearance by the Chiefs in 2021, though it ended in a loss to the Buccaneers.

Tracy Wolfson will join Evan Washburn as the sideline reporters for the Chiefs and 49ers. Gene Steratore and Jay Feely will provide rules analysis.

Nantz and Romo aren't exactly fan favorites when it comes to NFL announcing. They've been on the call together since 2017 yet often lack chemistry and fluidity, spurring several memes.

Nantz himself is a legend, especially when it comes to golf. Just a day before the AFC championship between the Chiefs and Ravens, he was remotely providing commentary for the Farmers Insurance Open.

After Kansas City claimed its fourth conference title in five seasons, Nantz got a shoutout from Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
