Chiefs roster by college
The Kansas City Chiefs roster can be seen here.
We mentioned the four Oklahoma's players on Kansas City's roster. The Chiefs have players who played at Florida in receiver Kadarius Toney, defensive end Carlos Dunlap and punter Tommy Townsend.
Kansas City also has three Michigan players on the roster in quarterback Chad Henne and edge rushers Frank Clark and Mike Danna.
The Chiefs have 11 players from the SEC on their roster, and 37 of their 53 players are from Power 5 conferences.
Eagles roster by college
The Philadelphia Eagles roster can be seen here.
Hurts also played college football at Alabama, which will be a frequent topic of discussion leading up to the game. The Eagles have three players from Alabama on the roster in receiver DeVonta Smith, center Landon Dickerson and cornerback Josh Jobe.
Philadelphia also has three Nebraska players on its roster. That includes interior lineman Cam Jurgens, tight end Jack Stoll and veteran defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
The Eagles have 10 players from the SEC and eight players from the Big Ten, but the surprise is seven players who played at American Athletic Conference schools. That list includes star edge rusher Hassan Reddick.
Super Bowl roster oddities
— Kansas City has three Division II players on its roster, including cornerback Joshua Williams (Fayetteville State), defensive tackle Brandon Williams (Missouri Southern) and tight end Jody Forston (Valdosta State). The Chiefs also have two FCS players in linebacker Jack Cochrane (South Dakota) and defensive tackle Khalen Saunders (Western Illinois).
—Philadelphia guard Jordan Malaita did not play in college football. He was an Australian rugby player with no football experience when the Eagles selected him in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
—Can you name the only Notre Dame player in the Super Bowl? It's Eagles backup quarterback Ian Book.
—Neither Texas nor Texas A&M has a player in this year's Super Bowl. The matchup is in Arizona, but there are no Wildcats or Sun Devils on the active rosters either.
