The Super Bowl 53 broadcasting crew has received almost as much attention in the last week as the game itself.

The reason? Tony Romo. The former Cowboys quarterback and current prognosticator/color commentator has been almost unanimously loved by America for his enthusiasm and innate ability to correctly predict what play is coming next.

Romo will be calling his first Super Bowl on Sunday, but there is plenty more coverage planned leading up to and into the contest between the Patriots and Rams.

What TV channel is the Super Bowl on in 2019?

Super Bowl 53 will be aired on CBS. It is the 20th time the network has Super Bowl rights, with the first broadcast coming in 1967 and most recent being in 2016.

Who will announce Super Bowl 53?

The announcing duo of Jim Nantz and Romo will be on the call for Super Bowl 53. It will be Nantz's fifth Super Bowl and Romo's first.

Tracy Wolfson and Evan Washburn will provide additional coverage as the sideline reporters. Wolfson will be working her third Super Bowl and Washburn will be reporting on his second for the network. Former referee Gene Steratore will appear in the booth as a rules analyst, while former NFL kicker Jay Feely will also contribute to the broadcast from the field.

Seven hours of pregame coverage will kick off at 11:30 a.m. ET, beginning with "The Other Pregame Show," featuring Amy Trask, London Fletcher, Brandon Tierney, and Adam Schein. "Road to the Super Bowl" and "Tony Goes to the Super Bowl" will air at noon and 1 p.m., respectively, followed by "The Super Bowl Today" and "Super Bowl on CBS Kick-off Show," which will take up the final 4 1/2 hours leading up to the start of the game.

James Brown and Ian Eagle will host the pregame show with Boomer Esiason, Phil Simms, Bill Cowher and Nate Burleson serving as analysts. Wolfson, Washburn, Steratore, league insider Jason LaCanfora, reporter Jamie Erdahl, social media correspondent Amanda Balionis and contributor Jim Rome will all appear on the show as well. 

For those listening on the radio, Kevin Harlan is on Westwood One's play-by-play call for a ninth straight Super Bowl.

What time does Super Bowl 2019 start?

Kickoff for the Patriots and Rams in Super Bowl 53 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 3, following the national anthem performance and other pregame festivities.

Expect the 2019 halftime show, headlined by Maroon 5, to begin sometime around 8:30-9 p.m., depending on pace of play.

Where is Super Bowl 53 being played?

Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will host its first Super Bowl. It will be the third time the game has been held in the city, with the most recent being 2000. Ironically, it was the site of the Rams' first and only Super Bowl win
