Expectations dropped for the Colts as soon as Adam Schefter clicked send on his tweet breaking the news that Andrew Luck had retired. At one point considered to be possible AFC South favorites, the offense was clearly going to take a hit with its former No. 1 overall pick going down with an injury.

But Jacoby Brissett has stepped up as the starter. He's led the Colts to a 2-2 record heading into Week 5, having completed 90 of 138 passes for 601 yards, 10 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Brissett will be tested on "Sunday Night Football," facing off against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City.

Sporting News picked the Chiefs to beat the Colts in both its picks against the spread and its straight-up predictions. With this matchup being at home for Kansas City in a historically difficult environment to play in with the reigning NFL MVP, the Chiefs should be able to handle the Colts, even with Brissett showing himself to be more than a serviceable starter for Indianapolis.

Below is all the info you need to watch Colts vs. Chiefs on Sunday night, including the TV channels and kickoff time.

Who plays on Sunday Night Football tonight?

  • Matchup: Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs
  • Kickoff time: 8:20 p.m. ET

The Colts' wins so far have come against Atlanta and Tennessee, while they lost to overtime against the Chargers in their season opener and then lost to the Raiders in their Week 4 game against the Raiders. Up till the game with the Raiders, the defense had done well for Indianapolis, holding both the Titans and Falcons to fewer than 25 points.

Needless to say, against the Chiefs on "Sunday Night Football," who have scored more than 25 points in each game this season and feature one of the most explosive offenses in the league, Brissett will be tasked with keeping up as the defense could have a tough time slowing down the opposition.

Sportsbook Review has the Chiefs as 11-point favorites against the Colts.
