Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith put the wrong Steeler on his "lifetime hit list."
Smith, angry after he was knocked out of Thursday night's game against Pittsburgh because of a hard hit, accused Steelers safety and former teammate Mike Mitchell of spearing him in his lower back.

"I kinda know his character and who he is," said Smith (via ESPN.com), who was teammates with Mitchell on the Panthers in 2013. "After he hit me, he said, 'How do you like that?'"
Smith added, "The best thing I could do without threatening him and saying, 'I will assault him when I see him' is I will say, 'I look forward to playing him again, and he's on my lifetime hit list.'"
One problem: Mitchell wasn't involved in the third-quarter play. A replay shows that it was inside linebacker Lawrence Timmons who hit Smith in the lower back with his helmet.
Smith, the Ravens' leading receiver, left the game with what was later described as a "contusion" but wouldn't discuss his availability for the 1-3 Ravens' next game, Oct. 11 vs. the Browns.
"I'm trying to get through tomorrow," he said. "I'm trying to make it to the airplane safely."
The Ravens play the Steelers again Dec. 27 in Baltimore. Smith is expected to retire after this season.
