The Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans will square off for a preseason Week 1 game on Friday night at Acrisure Stadium, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.

Earlier in the week, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans revealed that team would be playing its starters for the exhibition opener, which means we'll get a look at budding star quarterback C.J. Stroud and his newest weapon, star wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Meanwhile, the Steelers won't be playing some of their more notable players, like quarterback Russell Wilson and edge rusher T.J. Watt, but they will have at least some starters on the field. In Wilson's absence, quarterback Justin Fields will get the start, and he's expected to play a few series with the first-team offense.

Along with Wilson and Watt, guard Isaac Seumalo, defensive lineman Cam Heyward, outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and linebacker Patrick Queen will not suit up.

If you aren't able to watch the game on television, don't fret. Sporting News has you covered with the live score, game updates and highlights from the preseason Week 1 contest between the Steelers and Texans on Friday night.
