The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to sign cornerback Cameron Sutton to a one-year deal, per multiple reports.

Sutton was initially drafted by the Steelers in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and played his first six NFL seasons in Pittsburgh.

In 2023, Sutton signed a three-year deal with the Detroit Lions. After starting in every game for the Lions last season, Detroit released Sutton after a warrant was issued for his arrest in Florida this March for domestic battery.

Police were unable to locate Sutton for three weeks after the arrest warrant was initially issued, though Sutton eventually turned himself in to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in Florida.

"After weeks of evading law enforcement, this man has finally made the right choice to turn himself in," Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement at the time. "Domestic violence has no place in our community, and no one is above the law here in Hillsborough County."

Sutton was initially charged with a felony, but was ultimately charged with misdemeanor battery.
