The Steelers and the Saints aren't the only ones on the field at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday. There has been an unexpected group making their presence known as well.

That would be a flock of pigeons.

Indeed, it was noticed by reporters that the pigeons had invaded the field before Pittsburgh's Week 10 game. Several posted pictures of the birds as they rested on the field and poked at the grass pregame.

The pigeons have evidently decided that they liked it at Acrisure Stadium. They stuck around despite player warm-ups and were happy to lounge on the field even after the game began.

This resulted in some interesting camera shots. The Steelers captured a photo of Kenny Pickett preparing to pass with the flock in the background while many first noted the pigeons on an extra-point attempt early in the game.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time that pigeons have appeared at a Steelers game this season. A flock of them were on hand for the team's Week 6 home game against the Buccaneers.

Pittsburgh managed to win that game in a surprising 20-18 upset. Perhaps if the Steelers beat the Saints, they will further embrace their avian friends.

Thus far, the pigeons haven't had any impact on the on-field play. The bigger issue may be whether they cause any damage to the field or create inconvenience for the groundskeepers.
