Across social media, fans and analysts alike agreed that the deal made sense for both sides.
Love to see it. Tomlin is one of the absolute best coaches in the league. Every coach has some sort of flaw, but there are few coaches in the league better than him. https://t.co/z0CVJb0GFH

If Mike Tomlin finishes out this contract, the Steelers will go 59 seasons with 3 head coaches. https://t.co/O4hhhWpfR2

And some of you thought Tomlin's seat was getting warm. It's the coldest chair in the NFL. He's not going anywhere. #Steelers https://t.co/MSif9842kg

While the Steelers have had their ups and downs over the years with Tomlin, they have never had a losing season under his leadership, and have won the AFC North title seven times since the start of his tenure.
The Steelers will kick off their 2024 campaign on September 8 with a road game against the Atlanta Falcons.
