The Pittsburgh Steelers began their three-game preseason slate on Friday night with a matchup against the Houston Texans at Acrisure Stadium and some fans are already in midseason form and are calling for offensive coordinator Arthur Smith's head.
The Steelers' offense got off to a sloppy start, which led to a scoreless first half. Justin Fields was able to move the ball a bit over his three series, but two of his drives were thwarted by sacks and a few bad exchanges with center Nate Herbig.
In what was a bad reminder of the Matt Canada era, Fields checked the ball down on a third-and-13 play on one drive that ended up well short of the sticks, which left Steelers fans frustrated.
We didn't even get through three quarters of Smith's first preseason game at the helm and some fans have already had it. We can only hope they're trolling.
I know it's trolls/lazy analysis from fans. Just funny/expected to see.

Smith has called a good game!
The fact of the matter is, Smith actually called a good game and probably would have put points on the board in the first half if not for the aforementioned mistakes. If only he could block and snap the ball.
The Steelers inserted Kyle Allen into the game in the second quarter and the offense finally started to get going in the second half, with the unit scoring a pair of touchdowns, one in the third and one in the fourth.
Something tells me the Steelers are going to stick with their apparently embattled (a joke, of course) offensive coordinator.
