St. Louis releases video of proposed NFL stadium renderings image

Just days after San Diego released a video that showcases its latest stadium renderings, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon’s stadium task force released its own video, showcasing the proposed St. Louis stadium renderings.

National Car Rental Field would be an open-air, 64,000-seat stadium on the edge of the Mississippi River. Plans include various fan amenities, tailgating areas and the incorporation of trails, natural habitat and park space on the St. Louis riverfront.

The video released Thursday shows the stadium will feature seven acres of tailgating space, a beer garden, seven premium club venues and 114 luxury suites.

National Car Rental Field would replace the Rams current home, the Edward Jones Dome, which opened in 1995 and would help in preventing the Rams' return to Los Angeles.

St. Louis held a public hearing with NFL executives on Tuesday as a forum for fans and community members to ask questions and express their views to the NFL.

The Chargers and Raiders are also involved in relocation talks, with a plan to house both teams in the same stadium in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson.

Rams owner Stan Kroenke has plans for a football stadium in Inglewood, Calif., a $1.86 billion, privately financed venue proposed for the site of the former Hollywood Park horse racing track. The Rams left L.A. in 1995 for St. Louis, the same year the Raiders moved back to Oakland.
