To some extent every professional athlete looks like they're carved out of marble compared to us mere weekend warriors and couch potatoes. That said, sometimes a player makes a clear quantum leap in their fitness level between one season and the next. It looks like Seahawks running back Ken Walker is going through such a transformation.
Walker has always had a powerful build for his position, but he's looking especially ripped and lean in a couple of workout videos that have surfaced recently. Observe.
My Goodness!#Seahawks Kenneth Walker is looking JACKED 😮💨

It's great that Walker appears to be in peak physical form. However, the best way for Walker to improve his game has very little to do with athleticism. So far he has displayed a tremendous ability to break off explosive runs and turn what should be negative plays into positives by flipping the field. He could stand to improve on simply being patient and following his blockers, though.
Often Walker has simply ignored the running lanes and yards that are supposed to be there and done his own thing. That's worked out pretty well so far, as Walker has averaged about 1,000 rushing yards and 8.5 touchdowns per season. That said, to get into the elite-running back conversation he'll have to rely on generating more singles and doubles and not try to hit a home run on every carry. If Walker continues playing jazz every time he touches the ball then Zach Charbonnet may start eating into his touches as soon as this coming season.
