In about two months from now the Seahawks will kick off their 2024 schedule at home against the Broncos. Based on everything we know, they will most likely be facing rookie quarterback Bo Nix out of Oregon in that matchup. That's good news for Seattle, as new head coach Mike Macdonald's defensive scheme will be particularly difficult for QBs with no NFL experience to decipher. That means Week 1 should be a relatively easy win for the Seahawks.
The following week they are also favored on the road against the Patriots. However, it sounds like they won't be facing New England's rookie QB Drake Maye out of North Carolina. According to Patriots beat reporter Mike Kadlick, he'd be stunned if Maye is starting Week 2. Instead, fans should expect veteran Jacoby Brissett to be under center.

So from what we've been told this week, the Seahawks will face Bo Nix and Jacoby Brissett to begin the Mike Macdonald era with Seattle https://t.co/sQMvxCRitK
This makes sense For the Patriots on some levels. Brissett definitely gives them a better chance to win games any given week over Maye, especially that early in the season when he still has so much to learn. That said, every week Brissett starts and Maye is on the sidelines is one more week Maye won't develop the way he needs to - by playing in a live game.
While it will be a little more difficult against Brissett, Seattle should still be able to take care of business against New England. Starting the season 2-0 will be critical, as the schedule starts getting much tougher the following week when the Dolphins come to town.
