L.J. Collier is in jeopardy of being sidelined until September.
The Seahawks defensive end and 2019 first-round pick was carted off the field at Tuesday's practice with a right ankle injury.
According to NFL Media , which cited an unidentified source, Collier is believed to have suffered a sprained ankle and will likely be out for the entire preseason so he can get healthy for the regular season.
A definitive timeline for Collier's return has yet to be determined but is expected to be closely monitored in the coming weeks.
Collier, 23, was selected out of TCU by Seattle with the 29th overall pick in April. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors as a senior last season after posting career-highs in total tackles (42), sacks (6) and pass breakups (4).
