The loss of Teddy Bridgewater for the season left the Vikings scrambling for an answer at quarterback. With the options in free agency being unappealing, they turned to the trade market and agreed to a deal with the Eagles for Sam Bradford.
It's the compensation, though, that has caught most everyone by surprise.

The Vikings sent next year's first-round pick and their 2018 fourth-round pick to the Eagles in exchange for Bradford. It's a deal that even "Madden NFL 17" finds unrealistic.
In the game's Franchise Mode, the Vikings were set up to start with Bridgewater completely off the roster. The Eagles made the offer of Bradford for the picks, and the Vikings had no interest in the deal.

It's no surprise that even with Shaun Hill as their starter the Vikings wouldn't show much interest in trading for Bradford in the video game. He's rated only 78 Overall with an Injury Rating of 71 — the lowest of the 133 QBs in the video game — meaning one hit could knock him out for several games or a whole season.
