The Jets wanted Ryan Fitzpatrick back this offseason, and they aren't turning their backs on him now.
Sure, they replaced him with backup Geno Smith in Monday night's beatdown by the Cardinals, but that was just a one-game thing. Afterward, coach Todd Bowles made it clear that his Harvard quarterback will remain under center.

"It's not that I have no confidence in Geno," Bowles said. "We have two quarterbacks that can play right now. Fitz is our starter. Anybody back there would've been under duress today."
Fitzpatrick has thrown a league-high 11 interceptions (compared with just five touchdowns) and has the worst quarterback rating in the league (63.4). He also has the league's worst completion percentage (57), so even when he's not throwing to the other team, he's missing his own guys.
Smith is a former second-round draft pick and has been tossed aside ever since his broken jaw at the start of last season. He was visibly upset on the sideline during Monday's game before entering the game.

Smith didn't do a lot with his opportunity, as he threw an interception on his first drive.
