The one player not named Tom Brady the Patriots couldn't afford to lose could be their latest offensive casualty.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski's season could be in jeoopardy after he took a hard hit to his right knee. Gronk was upended by Broncos safety Darian Stewart.

Said Brady: "All of our fingers are crossed."

He was later able to walk without assistance.

It was a grim sight for the Patriots, who were already playing without top wide receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola and scat back Dion Lewis. Gronkowski is New England's leading receiver with 843 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.

He had five catches for 74 yards and a score before leaving Sunday.

Gronkowski is no stranger to injury. He has had a torn ACL in his right knee, multiple surgeries on a broken forearm and back surgery.
