Patriots fans might finally get to see star tight end Rob Gronkowski suit up for the first time this season.
Gronkowski will be a game-time decision, but "there's a real chance he makes his debut" Thursday night against the Texans, according to NFL Media.
WEEK 3 PICKS: Straight up | Against the spread
Gronkowski has been out since August 15, when he injured his balky hamstring. The Patriots reportedly want to make sure his injury is completely healed before the tight end step onto the field.
"We'll see," Gronkowski said Wednesday, via ESPN. "It will definitely be a coach's decision, a trainer's decision. We'll all come together.
"I'm just doing everything I can right now to be as healthy as I can be. I'm improving every single day. Basically, day by day right now. … Obviously, you just don't wake up and you're 100 percent, but I'm satisfied with the improvements."
FANTASY: Week 3 TE rankings
Martellus Bennett has been starting at tight end for New England, and he likely will play a large role even after Gronkowski returns. The former Bears tight end has eight receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown through two games.
