The saga between Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and the wife of Bills kicker Dan Carpenter took a few more twists and turns on Wednesday.

It started when Kaela Carpenter — who faced criticism for a social media post Tuesday suggesting Sherman should be castrated — issued a sort-of apology on Wednesday that didn't even address Sherman by name.

Sherman, of course, didn't appreciate the half-apology.

"It's not surprising at all," Sherman said Wednesday, via ESPN.com. "This is a day and age, you've got the Ku Klux Klan running around. People say whatever they want, and there's very little consequence. For her to say something like that and then have a BS apology like she did, it's just the way of the world. I don't let it bother me. It's something I'm very used to. It's just the way people are, the way people were raised."

The feud started when Sherman ran into Carpenter on a kick Monday night during the Seahawks' 31-25 win overt the Bills. Carpenter received medical attention, but was back on his feet almost immediately. His missed field goal two plays later altered the outcome of the game.

Kaela Carpenter issued her tweet while watching the game.

Looking at the initial tweet and apology, it's easy to see why Sherman is upset. Carpenter didn't exactly seem remorseful over her poor judgment.
