Bills coach Rex Ryan likes to have fun when he names team captains, and his trend continues for Thursday's game against the Jets.
Ryan told the media Monday that former Jet IK Enemkpali will be a team captain this week. Enemkpali was the player who broke Geno Smith's jaw in August, which led to his release in New York. Ryan in Buffalo gave the defensive end a contract soon after.

Rex Ryan on if IK Enemkpali will be a captain: "Yeah. I'll get ripped, whatever. I do this all the time."

That he does.
When the Bills faced the Jaguars two weeks ago, Ryan named his team's entire offensive line as captains. The joke there: Former Buffalo head coach Doug Marrone is now the Jaguars' offensive line coach after he opted out of his contract.
Last week against Miami, Ryan named Richie Incognito, Dan Carpenter and Charles Clay — all former Dolphins — as captains. For Buffalo's third preseason game, before he had named a starting quarterback, Ryan made all four of his QBs captains.
