Ray Rice has been out of the NFL since the Ravens dumped him following his public domestic violence arrest.

Even though he may no longer be able to help a team with his rushing skills, he's still valuable by speaking about his experience. Rice was a three-time Pro Bowl running back and Super Bowl champion before his arrest. Now, no team wants to touch him.

He has invaluable experience dealing with the highs and lows of a professional athlete, so he was invited to speak to the Baltimore rookies.

The team released a statement Thursday on his visit:

"Our 27 sessions to our rookies through our player engagement program review and teach life management and life lessons. Rice, who played for the Ravens from 2008-2014, delivered an important message that included his story, both the good and the bad. He clearly had the attention of our rookies.”

Rice's career as a player in the NFL appears to be over, but he can still have a role in the sport.
