Week 1 brought ups and downs across the NFL, and unfortunately, the Ravens and Raiders were both losing teams in their debut performances against familiar foes last week. The two will face off in Baltimore this Sunday.
In an all-too-familiar scene last Thursday, the Ravens fell to the Chiefs after a touchdown ruling was overturned in the final moments of the game. The seven-point deficit was reminiscent of the AFC Championship loss that ended their season in January.
Two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson showed out as usual, throwing for 273 yards and one touchdown, but he now stands 1-5 against Patrick Mahomes, his AFC nemesis.
In Los Angeles, Las Vegas fell to the new Harbaugh-era Chargers, 22-10. The Raiders defense was strong in the first half but ultimately crumbled later in the game. The offense only scored three points in the second half, and star receiver Davante Adams was only targeted six times.
Starting their first full season under coach Antonio Pierce, will the Raiders be able to overcome last year's struggles against the Ravens on Sunday?
