As we continue to wait for the start of Detroit Lions training camp, which will kick off next week, we thought it would be fun to take a look at the quarterbacks the team will face during the 2024 campaign and rank them, from best to worst.
It's a good thing the Lions beefed up their secondary and defensive front this offseason, as the slate of signal-callers on Detroit's schedule is impressive (or daunting, depending on how you look at it).
Detroit added cornerbacks Carlton Davis, Amik Robertson, Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. to the secondary after sporting one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL last season. To bolster the defensive line and try and take some pressure off Aidan Hutchinson, the Lions signed defensive lineman D.J. Reader and edge rusher Marcus Davenport to join a group that also includes Alim McNeill, who posted a breakout season in 2023.
As you'll quickly see, there is no shortage of veteran quarterbacks who can't be taken lightly on Detroit's 2024 slate, along with some promising young signal-callers who could fully establish themselves this coming season.
Without further ado, here's how we ranked them, from best to worst. Bear in mind, we automatically put unproven quarterbacks near the bottom of the list, and that's especially true for rookies.
