It might be a long time before Randy Gregory takes the field again.
The Cowboys defensive end has failed another drug test and could face a lengthy suspension, NFL Network reported Friday.

The league told the network it "has not been notified of any new violations."
Gregory, 23, already was set to miss the first 14 games of this season under two separate suspensions for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. A year-long suspension is the next step for further violations, but he would be able to appeal if such a punishment is handed down.
Before this incident, Gregory had missed or failed four drug tests.

Gregory was scheduled to come back from his current 10-game suspension on Dec. 19. If the one-year ban is upheld, he wouldn't be able to play until at least November 2017.
