According to Football Scoop, the Los Angeles Rams are making several significant additions to the franchise's strength and conditioning staff ahead of the 2024 season.
The Rams are hiring Joe Distor from the Houston Texans and Christopher Aninye from the University of Tennessee as Strength & Conditioning Associates. Additionally, the Rams have added Trent Frey as their Coordinator, Performance Science / Associate, Strength & Conditioning.
The Rams are also hiring Justin Chatman from Furman University. Chatman is reportedly joining the team in a performance science/strength and conditioning fellowship position.
Distor had been with the Texans for five years after serving with the Chicago Bears from 2016-2019. Aninye was the Assistant Director of Football Sports performance for the Tennessee Volunteers after serving as an Assistant Strength And Conditioning Coach for Kansas State University.
Frey was previously the head strength & conditioning coach for the Los Angeles Kings. Before that, he spent time as an assistant strength coach at UCLA.
