The Raiders will be the subject of this year's "Hard Knocks" HBO documentary series, the NFL announced Tuesday.

The first episode will air Aug. 6.

“We are so grateful to this storied franchise for opening up its doors and allowing HBO and NFL Films to spend the summer with the Raiders in what promises to be a compelling and engaging training camp," Peter Nelson, HBO Sports executive vice president, said in a statement.

There will be no shortage of storylines. A few of the biggest:

— Coach Jon Gruden entering the second season of his return to the Silver and Black. The league appears to be excited about having Gruden mic'd up for weeks at a time:

— How marquee addition Antonio Brown will mesh with embattled quarterback Derek Carr.

— The fact the franchise is scheduled to move to Las Vegas after the season.

This will be the Raiders' first appearance on the show, which gives fans an inside look at how NFL teams conduct training camp and prepare for the regular season.

"Everybody wants to be a Raider. Now they’ll find out what it takes to become one," Raiders owner Mark Davis said in the statement.
