Who would've thunk it?
The Raiders are the most blameless, upright, God-fearing and evil-shunning team in the National Football League.
OK. Stating it that way is more of a stretch than plyometrics, but the silver and black has been as close to a band of model citizens as you'll find in the league as of late. Oakland is the only team in the NFL to go without an arrest the past three seasons. The Raiders earned (if you want to call it that) the distinction, following Junior Gallette's arrest after the Redskins linebacker was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to comply with police officers, SB Nation reports.
Of course, arrests aren't convictions and run-ins with the law must be judged on an individual basis. They don't make any awards for not getting arrested nor should they. Nonetheless, it's a good look for coach Jack Del Rio's guys, and it's definitely a shocker for an organization historically notorious for employing more bad boys than Diddy.
Now, if only the Raiders could get their act together on the field. Oakland was the most penalized team in the NFL in 2016, committing 147 infractions which cost them 1,251 yards. That's 18 more flags than the Jaguars, the second-most penalized team in the NFL.
