Raiders legend Tim Brown is best known for his incredible NFL career that spanned 17 seasons, but did you know the man can golf, too?
Brown is participating at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament this week and made history on Friday when he drilled a hole-in-one.
Brown sunk the shot on the 12th hole, making him the first player in the history of the tournament to hit one on that particular hole. The hole-in-one was just the sixth in total in the history of the event.
For his efforts, Brown is also taking home a boat, making him the first player to win the prize. Check out his incredible shot below.
The funny thing is, Brown didn't even think he hit a good shot before it eventually went in. The excitement from the sensational shot also derailed him a bit over the next few holes, but he was able to rebound.
“I didn’t hit it the way I wanted to. I started to complain, then it started to go towards the hole,” Brown said after the round. “It took a couple holes to calm down. I think I double bogeyed the next two holes.”
While there is always some luck involved when it comes to hole-in-ones, Brown is actually a really good golfer. Through one round of the tournament, he was sitting tied for eighth place with former professional golfer Annika Sorenstam and others.
Leading the way after Round 1 is Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen (24), followed by former tennis player Mardy Fish (23). Two others are tied for third with 21, two are tied for fifth with a 19, and one player sits ahead of the Raiders legend with an 18.
The final two rounds of the tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday. You can watch on NBC and Peacock starting at 2:30 p.m. ET.
