When the Las Vegas Raiders signed quarterback Gardner Minshew in free agency, they didn't just add a potential starter under center, they added one of the biggest characters in the NFL.
Minshew was signed by the Raiders in free agency to compete with second-year signal-caller Aidan O'Connell, who finished out last season as the team's starter.
When it came to the Raiders' Media Day, Minshew didn't disappoint. In one photo, he channeled his inner Uncle Rico from the movie "Napoleon Dynamite" after drawing comparisons to the character over the course of his career.
Here's Minshew doing the Uncle Rico:

While we can confirm Minshew is a character, we can't confirm whether or not he's winning the starting quarterback competition against O'Connell. Both signal-callers struggled during the offseason program and failed to grab the bull by the horns.
But it won't be too long before the Raiders have to make their decision ahead of the 2024 campaign, with training camp set to begin late next month.
