Looking to spend a small fortune at a Las Vegas Raiders home game this year? Well, you're in luck, because the team is set to offer something that will surely drain your wallet or melt your credit card.
In an attempt to upgrade their tailgating experience at Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders are going to offer "premium spaces for pregame festivities" that will start at $20,000 per game, according to Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Here's more details on those spaces, each of which can hold up to 20 people, per Akers (you can check out photos of them by clicking the hyperlink above).
Four mobile, two-story, climate-controlled party trailers will be added to Lot B of Allegiant Stadium for all Raiders home games and select other large events at the $2 billion facility.
Each space will feature all-inclusive food and beverages, games, such as ring toss and cornhole, a 55-inch 4K HDTV for fans to watch the early slate of games, a 208-square-foot top deck, a Bluetooth soundbar and a retractable awning to provide shade.
Raiders vice president of premium sales and services, Panos Pappas, admitted that the price tag for the "party shack" is expensive, but explained why it's worth it and said the price isn't as bad if everyone chips in.
“People spend that kind of money on one bottle of tequila on the Strip on a Saturday night,” Pappas said. “Is it expensive? Sure it is. But there’s a premium that comes with it. You’re getting the full experience with it. Is it for everybody? It could be. You get all your friends together and you all chip in when you get there.”
“It came from the fans,” Pappas added. “There’s been a demand. There has been people calling our service team, our sales team and we’ve been talking about it for a couple of years and we thought it was something that we should probably do.”
I'm not sure there are many human beings — let alone Raiders fans — who are dropping that much on a bottle of tequila. Furthermore, if Raiders fans were requesting this stuff, I would bet they didn't have this kind of price in mind.
Quick math: if everyone chips in on one of these party shacks, as Pappas calls them, it would cost each person $1,000. Hey, at least the food and drinks are included.
The four spaces will be lined up off of the Hacienda bridge, Pappas revealed, and will be available starting in 2024.
