The Las Vegas Raiders have selected Georgia tight end Brock Bowers with the 13th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Though many expected Vegas to choose between a cornerback or offensive lineman, general manager Tom Telesco went with the best available player in Bowers.
Brock Bowers isn't just a tight end; he's an all-around playmaker who gives quarterbacks Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell another elite weapon.
The 6-foot-4, 243-pound tight end is a dynamic route-runner with big-play potential who can also operate in the short and intermediate passing game. Bowers had an 87.1 PFF receiving grade in 2023 and dropped just three passes on 71 targets.

For the second year in a row, the @Raiders select the top tight end by NGS production score with a top-50 pick (M. Mayer, 91). Bowers is just the fourth tight end prospect to earn a max-99 production score since 2003.#NFLDraft |… pic.twitter.com/Vy1DwpboEs
Though offensive tackle and cornerback were more pressing needs, Telesco and head coach Antonio Pierce couldn't pass on a generational talent.
Bowers has all the intangibles and physical tools to be an All-Pro tight end at the next level and Las Vegas is supplying whoever their starting signal-caller is with as many dynamic and explosive playmakers as possible — and I love it.
