The Detroit Lions are coming off a 2023 campaign in which they won the division and made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game, mostly on the strength of their offense, which saw several standout performances.
Quarterback Jared Goff had one of the best seasons of his career, throwing for 4,575 yards and 30 touchdowns to 12 picks. The touchdowns were the second-most of his career, and the passing yards were his third-most.
The Lions nearly had a pair of 1,000-yard rushers at running back in Jahmyr Gibbs (945) and David Montgomery (1,015), leading to the Lions having one of the elite rushing attacks in the NFL.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown cemented himself as one of the better players at his position in the NFL with a career-high 1,515 yards, ranking third in the NFL. He also notched double-digit touchdowns (10), as did tight end Sam LaPorta, who emerged as a star in Year 1.
Detroit's defense left a lot to be desired, but defensive end Aidan Hutchinson did top his career-best mark with 11.5 sacks as he took another step closer to being among the league's elite pass-rushers.
