After taking off the pads for Thursday's training camp practice, the Pittsburgh Steelers strapped them back on for their latest session, which was the team's "Friday Night Lights" practice in Latrobe.
As you'd expect, Steelers fans showed out in full force for the practice, with over 12,000 attending. One of those who made it out to the session was female rapper GloRilla, how is a noted Steelers fan.
Adding a bit more juice to the practice was the backs vs. backers portion, which was chippy and saw plenty of trash talk. It was also another good day for Justin Fields, who had the majority of the work with Russell Wilson limited again.

Here's the biggest takeaways from Friday's practice based on the observations of beat writers.
Who didn't practice?
According to Alex Kozora of Steelers Depot, Roman Wilson and Kyron Johnson remained sidelined. Wilson was spotted in a walking boot and remains week-to-week, and Johnson is dealing with a hamstring issue. Jeremiah Moon was not spotted practicing, either.
Russell Wilson limited again
Nothing changed with Wilson's status on Friday night, as the veteran signal-caller was limited once again as he continues to work his way back from a calf injury.
According to The Athletic's Mike DeFabo, Wilson did not take part in seven shots and his only rep in 11-on-11 was a handoff. He was a full participant in seven-on-seven and during the individual period.

Justin Fields, offense dominate seven shots
It was once again the Justin Fields show for the majority of the night with Wilson not taking part in full again. Fields and the offense shined during seven shots in particular, with the unit winning the battle 7-0, per DeFabo.
Here's a rundown of how it went:

Overall, Fields looked to have yet another strong showing on Friday night, and his strong connection with wide receiver George Pickens is very evident.

15/19, 135 yards 4 TDs 0 INTs.
Another strong practice. Stacking good days. #Steelers
Justin Fields continues to look more and more composed and deliberate in #Steelers practice. He’s understanding when and how to attack the different zone looks and delivering good passes.

George Pickens has become the favorite target of #Steelers QB Justin Fields. A nice chunk on an in-cut during team here.

Harris, Warren shine in backs on backers
Steelers running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren shined during what was a chippy backs vs. backers session, as Christopher Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wrote.
"Najee Harris PANCAKED Patrick Queen and stood over top of him after the block," he tweeted. "Queen calls for his rematch, Harris stones him and talks in his face. Jaylen Warren got beat by Elandon Roberts, who taunted Warren afterwards. On the 2nd rep, Warren stones Roberts and puts him on the ground, talking all sorts of trash."

Harris and Warren received some love for their showing from head coach Mike Tomlin after practice, per ESPN's Brooke Pryor.
"I can't say enough about those top two backs, Naj and Jaylen, they set the tone for the drill," he said. "Man, that's a drill that's advantage linebackers, obviously. But when you got some strong-minded runners, man, it makes it highly competitive. And those two in particular don't run from the fight. They run to the fight. I respect it."
A few DBs shine
According to Pryor, rookie Ryan Watts notched an interception off John Rhys Plumlee in 11-on-11, and defensive back Cameron Sutton, who was playing at safety, intercepted Kyle Allen during the red zone period.
