For those hoping to see new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson get his first practice reps in training camp on Thursday, you'll have to wait at least another day.
According to multiple beat writers on the ground, Wilson did not take part in practice on Thursday. Sporting a baseball cap, Wilson led the team during stretches but did not take part, nor did he take the field for individual or team drills.
With Wilson sidelined, fellow quarterback Justin Fields got the reps with the first-team offense, as expected.

Russell Wilson not going through stretch so probably not practicing today. But he does look to be presiding over the stretch. Strength and conditioning coach Russ? pic.twitter.com/66z6IgvQvC

After practice, head coach Mike Tomlin revealed that Wilson woke up this morning with calf tightness and he made the decision to sit the veteran signal-caller. Tomlin added that sitting Wilson has created some "short-term misery" for Wilson, who wanted to practice.
