With just days to go before players take the practice field for their first session of training camp on Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly taking a look at a quarterback.
Per Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com, the Steelers are hosting quarterback Ben DiNucci for a workout. Wilson didn't say what day exactly it will take place, though.
A former seventh-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2020, DiNucci has played just three games in the NFL, all of which came during his rookie campaign. In those three contests (one start), DiNucci completed 53.5% of his passes for 219 yards.
After Dallas cut him loose in 2022, DiNucci latched on with the Denver Broncos, where he spent multiple stints on the active roster and practice squad. He never appeared in a game, though. He was released by Denver earlier this offseason.

Of course, the Steelers are already set at quarterback with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, and they also have John Rhys Plumlee on the roster. Assuming the Steelers don't keep a third quarterback, the best DiNucci could hope for is a spot on the practice squad if signed.
