The Pittsburgh Steelers have a bit of work to do heading into the 2024 NFL Draft.
With a few major departures, gaps in the offensive line that have been a problem for years, and two new quarterbacks to hopefully surround with talent, there are plenty of different directions the Steelers could potentially take depending on how the rest of the picks from across the league play out.

Steelers NFL Draft needs
- Wide receiver: The Steelers offense is in for a big shake up this year, with Pittsburgh bringing in quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields already this offseason. Now they need some weapons to target downfield. With the departure of stand-out receiver Diontae Johnson, there is a big opportunity in the Steelers depth chart for a talented rookie to make an immediate impact.
- Offensive line: Pro Football Network ranks the Steelers’ offensive line 27th out of 32 units across the league. Pittsburgh cut center Mason Cole in the offseason, and left tackle Dan Moore Jr. is heading into the final year of his deal, meaning the time to get reinforcements is now.
- Cornerback: Joey Porter Jr. looks ready to continue his streak as one of the top young cornerbacks in the league, but in a pass-happy NFL, one elite cornerback isn’t enough. The Steelers received CB Donte Jackson from the Panthers in the deal that sent Diontae Johnson to Carolina, but don’t be surprised if Pittsburgh decides to add a bit of depth here.
