The Philadelphia Eagles head into the 2024 NFL Draft looking for a reset.

The 2023 campaign did not end how the Eagles wanted, losing five of their last six games in the regular season en route to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Buccaneers in the wild card round.

With two team legends — center Jason Kelce and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox — hanging their cleats up for good, there are a some big shoes set to be filled in Philadelphia.

Eagles NFL Draft needs

  • Defensive back: Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox, and James Bradberry are all back at cornerback from last season, and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has returned after taking a semester abroad with the Detroit Lions last year, but there’s a lot of talent at corner in this draft. After their struggles stopping opponents on third down last season, look for the Eagles to stock up on some extra depth here.
  • Offensive line: Future Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce retired in the offseason, and while many Philly fans are hoping he pulls a Tom Brady and decides to throw his cleats back on for one more go around, the Eagles must prepare for what’s next. Cam Jurgens, who played center at Nebraska but has taken on the role of guard alongside Kelce since joining the Eagles in 2022, is the likely successor to the position, but even if he shifts over, that still leaves a hole in the line that needs to be filled.
  • Wide receiver: A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are both locked in for the next few years as the top two receivers in Philadelphia. Behind them, the Eagles have signed veterans DeVante Parker and Parris Campbell to the roster for 2024, but there’s still plenty of room for a young rookie to make some noise if the right player falls to Philly.
