With offseason programs going on around the NFL, teams are still working to improve their roster for the 2024 season, which means some players will have to find new homes.
On Tuesday, one of those players is former New England Patriots cornerback Joejuan Williams, who was released by the Minnesota Vikings, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Williams, 26, was drafted by the Patriots in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft out of Vanderbilt. Unfortunately, he never lived up to his draft position, appearing in just 36 games for the Patriots over four seasons and recording just 44 tackles, eight passes defensed and a quarterback hit.
He signed with the Vikings last offseason and originally made the team's practice squad before being signed to the Chicago Bears active roster and returning to the Vikings practice squad again when he was cut.
Williams appeared in six games last season between the two teams, recording just two tackles.
