Patriots troll Jets with 'Butt Fumble' tweet ahead of game image

The Patriots sent a not-so-subtle jab to the Jets via Twitter on Thursday ahead of their matchup over the weekend.

The tweet, which was later deleted, was a Throwback Thursday to the Jets' infamous "Butt Fumble" against the Patriots in 2012.

During the play, then-quarterback Mark Sanchez ran into the rear end of guard Brandon Moore after a play was botched. Sanchez fumbled the ball and the Patriots returned it for a touchdown. New England ended up routing the Jets 49-19.

Jets running back Stevan Ridley, who played for the Patriots from 2011-14, found the tweet amusing.

When ESPN.com asked whether the person who tweeted the jab out is in trouble, Ridley said, "There's no telling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not there (anymore)."
