The New England Patriots had Wednesday off from training camp, but they returned to action on Thursday.
This session was a practice in shells, which usually reduces the energy and completion levels on the fields behind Gillette Stadium.
Here's everything that was sent at the Patriots' seventh training camp session of 2024:
Participation/Attendance
- Edge rusher Matthew Judon returned to practice after missing Tuesday.
- Linebacker Sione Takitaki (PUP), center Jake Andrews (PUP), guard Cole Strange (PUP), safety Marte Mapu, offensive tackle Tyrone Wheatley Jr., tight end Jaheim Bell and defensive lineman Christian Barmore were all not seen at the start of practice.
- Center David Andrews returned to practice but didn't participate in team drills)
- Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne (PUP) and safety Jabrill Peppers stretched but were not participating beyond stretching.
- Wide receiver DeMario Douglas and cornerback Shaun Wade continued to be in red non-contact jerseys.

- Offensive tackle Vederian Lowe is the first to see action on the left side and Chukwuma Okorafor remains the first on the right.
- Offensive tackle Caedan Wallace got backup left tackle reps, Calvin Anderson got backup right tackle reps and Nick Leverett got backup center reps.
- Wide receiver Javon Baker did some work as a gunner.
- Judon participated in individual and position drills.
- Wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk beat cornerback Mikey Victor for a touchdown in 1-on-1s in the red zone.

- Tight end Hunter Henry beat safety Jaylinn Hawkins for a 1-on-1 touchdown in the red zone.
- Anderson was sent to run a lap for committing a false start.
- Maye completed his three passes in the first 11-on-11 period, but one of the plays may have been a sack in real-time.
- Thornton caught a touchdown in 7-on-7s with cornerback Alex Austin in coverage.
- Maye hit tight end LaMycal Pettway for a touchdown in 7-on-7s in the red zone with defensive back Dell Pettus in coverage
- Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster dropped a would-be touchdown from Maye.
- Quarterback Joe Milton hit wide receiver Kayshon Boutte for a 7-on-7 touchdown.
- The defense was forced to run a lap after issues getting lined up.
- Maye scrambled in a 7-on-7 and hit wide receiver K.J. Osborn on a sidearm toss for the touchdown.
- Wide receiver Jalen Reagor and running back Antonio Gibson were the top pairing on kick returns, followed by Marcus Jones and Osborn and Polk and DeMario Douglas.
- There was a scuffle in an 11-on-11 period with Henry and linebacker Anfernee Jennings being pulled away.
- Linebacker Joshua Uche had a would-be sack against quarterback Bailey Zappe.
- Marcus Jones left the practice fields with trainers.
- Maye hit tight end Mitchell Wilcox with a nice ball downfield.
- Kickers Chad Ryland and Joey Slye finished with their field goal battle. Ryland went 4-for-4 while Slye went 3-for-4, missing from 39 yards.
