The New England Patriots finished their 2023 campaign tied with the second-worst record in the league with the Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals, as they were just two games behind the Carolina Panthers, who finished 2-15.
Heading into 2024, things aren't expected to get much easier for the Patriots and new head coach Jerod Mayo. Sharp Football Analysis recently released their strength of schedule for the upcoming season, which uses Las Vegas' forecasted win totals, and the Patriots have the second-toughest campaign in the league, only behind the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Obviously, this would change if New England were to make some serious additions before the start of the season like drafting a quarterback in the first round.
However, for now, the Patriots are staring down a challenging gauntlet that could lead them to another top pick in next year's draft if they don't make some drastic improvements.
