The New England Patriots have been working on the practice fields at Gillette Stadium for their organized team activities, but there's still been some work that they've needed to do on the business side of things with a few players.
On Tuesday, New England officially signed quarterback Drake Maye to his rookie deal, according to NFL Network's Mike Garofolo.
The Patriots took Maye third overall in this year's draft out of North Carolina, and he'll have an opportunity to earn the starting job out of camp if he beats out the veteran, Jacoby Brissett.
New England has now signed five of their eight picks from this year's draft class. Wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk, offensive lineman Layden Robinson and offensive tackle Caedan Wallace are the three that have yet to sign their rookie deals.
