The New England Patriots added eight new players to their roster through the seven rounds of the 2024 NFL draft and many more as undrafted free agents.
While, in the past, the Patriots would have their rookies where sequential numbers beginning with No. 50, new head coach Jerod Mayo is not waiting to give his players their jersey numbers.
On Friday, the team announced the numbers for the eight drafted rookies. Here's what they'll be wearing:
- WR Ja'Lynn Polk - No. 1
- WR Javon Baker - No. 6
- QB Drake Maye - No. 10
- QB Joe Milton - No. 19
- DB Marcellas Dial - No. 27
- OL Layden Robinson - No. 63
- OT Caedan Wallace - No. 70
- TE Jaheim Bell - No. 88
It will be great to see these players take the field and not look out of place wearing numbers that they'd never normally don.
