After the New England Patriots defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 16-10 on Sunday at Paycor Stadium, they've made some practice squad transactions.
It was reported earlier in the day that New England signed defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy, a 2023 fifth-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings, who recorded eight tackles (one for a loss) and a quarterback hit in 12 games during his rookie season.
The Patriots announced the move later in the afternoon, and the corresponding move to open the practice squad spot, as they released offensive lineman Jerome Carvin.
New England signed Carvin, 23, to the practice squad after roster cuts. He played collegiately at Tennessee before joining the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted rookie last season. He spent this past offseason with the Chicago Bears.
